Ballast Control System

[ Back to the List Page ]

1. Outline

Ballasting/deballasting can be remotely controlled at Control Panel in navigation bridge or cargo control room.

2. Features

  • Butterfly valves are installed on ballast line. They are either pneumatic or electric depends on conditions and requirements on their installation.
  • In case of pneumatic, solenoid valves are electrically actuated with open/shut signal from control panel and then butterfly valves are driven with 0.4 MPa of regulated air branched from domestic compressed air.
  • In case of electric, butterfly valves are driven directly with open/shut signal from control panel.
  • Ballast pumps can be remotely started/stopped at control panel as well.
  • Control of intermediate open/shut degree of butterfly valves for ballast water flow control and stripping can be available.
  • Suction/delivery pressure of ballast pumps can be remotely indicated at control panel.

Water Spray Control System

1. Outline

Water Spray System is installed mainly on liquefied gas carriers. It is remotely actuated for cooling, fire prevention and crew protection to cover exposed parts of cargo tanks, cargo manifold and etc. as well as boundaries facing cargo area of superstructures and deckhouses normally manned, cargo compressor rooms, cargo pump rooms, cargo control rooms and etc..。

2. Features

  • Water Spray Pumps can be remotely started/stopped at control panel.
  • Butterfly valves on water spray line can be remotely opened/shut at control panel.
  • Butterfly valves are of pneumatic type. Solenoid valves are electrically actuated with open/shut signal from control panel and then butterfly valves are driven with 0.4 MPa of regulated air branched from domestic compressed air.
